Assigning A Contract
If you can find someone else to take over the obligations on your contract, you might be able to get out of your contract by assigning it. In general, contracts allow assignment if both parties initially involved agree to it and that by assigning the contract, the other party will not be harmed or increase risks. It's a good idea to talk to your lawyer about assigning a contract, and get the other party's consent to assign the contract in writing before proceeding. It is important to note that, even if you assign a contract to someone else, you may still be responsible for the contract's performance clauses if the person you assign the contract to should breach the contract.
